Dirty Creatures is a feature film set in the stunning landscapes of Western Australia and Dark Jungle- a movie set in Indonesia. Investment opportunity details

The Australian film industry experienced substantial growth and recognition on a global scale, but it also boasts a highly competitive tax incentive program for filmmakers, which translates to cost savings and greater financial returns for investors. Producing films in WA is expected to provide significant job opportunities and benefits to the local economy, and invigorate tourism in the regions following their release. Dirty Creatures set in the South West, can have a a significant impact on the region’s economy – estimated in supporting an estimated 150 jobs over the project’s life and generating an estimated $5.6 million short-term benefit for the local economy. Investing in Dark Jungle set in Indonesia,  will see similar positive effect as this has the potential to grow the local economy and create jobs in both countries. This aligns with State Agency Screenwest’s strategy. Future proof employment with the studio being built with training opportunities. In 2020-21 Indonesia was WA’s 11th largest trading partner with total trade valued at $3.5 billion. There is a high technology uptake, Indonesia’s media and entertainment market is in the middle of a high growth period with streaming services investing heavily into original productions in the region.

The producers believe that the market presents an excellent opportunity to engage the large majority of the Australian film viewing market and the potential to capture the attention of the international market. The film show casing the South West provides an opportunity to work with Tourism WA – in the marketing the film as it supports a campaign to promote regional WA. And with the South West Development Corporation and in particular the Shire of Nannup where the film is set.

Investment ready means that the investment proponent has a clearly articulated business and/or project plan which demonstrates:

  • project feasibility and delivery, including risk management.
  • the strength, experience, capabilities and capacity to execute the proposed project;
  • a growth plan, and how that growth will be funded; and
  • how the investment proponent will need to be in the correct business structure.

3. Submit your project for review

We will review your Project Brief and work with you to make sure it is ready for investors.

4. Approval and listing

We communicate with you via email as you create, save, submit and revise your investment opportunity. Our team may contact you directly during the review and revision process. We will always confirm by email after your investment project has been approved by us for listing.
