Project Summary (Excerpt)
OKA Australia is revitalising one of Australia’s most iconic automotive platforms — purpose-built for remote, rugged, and mission-critical operations. With a 39-year legacy and over $35 million of historical investment in R&D, the Gen-5 OKA platform offers unmatched durability, modular design, and multi-fuel driveline capability (diesel, electric, hybrid, hydrogen).
OKA’s modernised cab-chassis platform has achieved full Australian type approval and is scaling through a capital-efficient, licensing-led model. From its base in WA, the company serves mining, defence, utility, and emergency sectors through fleet leasing, custom builds, and global IP licensing.
The business is raising up to A$3 million at a pre-money valuation of A$6.6 million to complete its acquisition of core IP, fund scale up via manufacturing partners, and activate international licensing deals.
Backed by experienced executives and industry partners, OKA is positioned to meet global demand for resilient, future-ready mobility.
Project Description
Project Description and Growth Strategy: Scaling OKA to $20M+ Revenue by FY28
OKA Australia is scaling Australia’s only proprietary all-terrain vehicle platform to meet rising global demand for mission-ready, off-road transport solutions. With a legacy of over 450 vehicles delivered to defence, mining, and emergency services, the Gen-5 OKA platform has been fully modernised, achieving type approval in 2023 and ready for scaled deployment.
Over the next 36 months, OKA will scale to >$20 million in annual revenue through a capital-efficient business model focused on recurring fleet income and high-margin IP licensing. This growth will be driven by:
1. Domestic Fleet Deployment
OKA will build and operate a leased fleet of Gen-5 vehicles for Tier 1 customers in mining, utilities, government, and defence. The company targets 90 vehicles under lease by FY28, generating predictable multi-year cash flows. A small number of custom builds for the expedition and adventure market will support brand visibility and R&D validation.
2. Sub-Assembly Manufacturing Model
Rather than building a fixed factory, OKA uses a decentralised model. Proprietary chassis and cabs are produced by strategic onshore defence approved manufacturing partners. Final assembly occurs via licensed overseas assembly partners, enabling output growth to 2,000 vehicles annually without heavy capex in manufacturing.
3. International Licensing and Royalties
OKA’s IP-led expansion model licenses the Gen-5 platform to regional partners in select global markets. Licensees pay upfront fees and ongoing per-unit royalties, with OKA supplying key components, training, and quality assurance. This model creates scalable, annuity-style income with localised market fit and mitigates tariff risks.
With proven product, strategic IP control, and strong operational leverage, OKA is positioned to become a global leader in the light-rigid all-terrain segment within three years.
