Magellan Power offers a comprehensive solution for lithium-ion battery life cycle management through its Battery Eco System – 4R (Repair, Refurbishment, Repurposing, and Recycling). The Pilbara hub provides services and repair for mining batteries, while the Perth Hub manufactures battery packs and repurposes spent batteries. This innovative approach creates value for spent batteries and promotes responsible management from design to end of life. As an industry leader in battery applications, this project expands Magellan’s work into integrated service, repair, refurbishment, robotic manufacturing, and recycling, positioning the company as the only player in Australia to offer a circular solution to battery waste.
Western Australia–based Viburnum Funds, a prominent private and public equity firm, has recently confirmed a $15 million strategic investment in Magellan Power, marking Magellan’s first external equity partnership. Viburnum and Magellan’s union reflect increasing investor interest in Western Australia’s energy transition capabilities and highlights the strong trajectory of local companies driving innovation in battery storage and advanced manufacturing.
